First with honours

After winning a six-way creative pitch that involved student focus groups, Vivid have recently completed the design and artwork of the 2008/09 Undergraduate Prospectus for the University of Derby.

At over 300 pages, the previous prospectus was seen as being cumbersome, repetitive and dull.

Our main tasks were to inject life and creativity into the new version and to restructure the much reduced content into a more dynamic publication. This was achieved through the effective use of photography and an extended colour palette that combined to deliver a series of visually stimulating page spreads.

The quality of our work, smooth running of the project and on time delivery have since been recognised with the award of producing the Postgraduate Prospectus for 2009.

As part of ongoing work for Smiffys, one of the biggest suppliers of fancy dress and novelty fun products in Europe, Vivid have re-designed the theme graphics for nearly thirty own brand fancy dress costumes and accessories ranges.

The work has involved devising names, logos and graphic themes that will be applied to product range packaging, display materials for retail sales support and Smiffys main product catalogue.
