Vivid's MD, Gerry Arcari has just completed an endurance cycling challange to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Setting out from Blackheath in London at 12pm on Friday 15th July, Gerry Arcari and three other business owners from Sheffield, set off to cycle the 240 miles to Brussels - in less than 24 hours!
The challenge was in aid of the British Heart Foundation and the team reaised well over £5,000 in sponsorship. The first leg across Kent was 90 miles and involved approx 5,000ft of ascent. Once safely on the continent (by ferry) the remaining 150 miles involved two night stages and three final daylight stages to arrive in the Grand Place of Brussels by 1pm local time. The team were delayed by an hour on the ferry but still managed to arrive with 30 minutes to spare.
